500 Arhats Online

《500 Arhats Online》 is an online conceptual-art project initiated by Mu Yuming in May 2022, global in scope.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the world was cut off and lacking communication; humanity faced enormous psychological and physiological crises in the face of natural disaster. Taking 「Five Hundred Arhats」 as a concept, the artist created an online conceptual-art project, motivated by humanity's self-rescue, using modern technology to connect people across the world, together seeking new ways, seeking new vitality.

500 participants from around the world are invited to engage in online live-stream dialogue, with the artist improvising bespoke artworks based on each person's individual character, ultimately gathering into 500 artworks and one complete documentary film. The documentary is still ongoing.
