Privacy

This website belongs to Mu Yuming (木玉明), an independent artist based between Lijiang, Yunnan and Chiang Mai, Thailand. We take your privacy seriously and try to collect as little data as possible. This page explains what we do collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect

Contact form. When you use our contact form we receive your name, email address, and the message you send. We use this only to respond to your inquiry. Emails are delivered via Resend and arrive in our personal email inbox.

Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address and send you occasional updates about new work, exhibitions, and journal posts. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.

Aggregate analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individual visitors, no cookies are set, and no data is sold or shared with advertisers.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) for a short period for security and reliability. This is normal for any website.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. That is why you do not see a cookie consent banner.

Third parties we rely on

• Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics
• Resend — delivery of contact-form emails and newsletter emails
• Upstash — secure storage of newsletter subscriber email addresses
• Sanity — content management system for journal posts (no visitor data)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and is bound by applicable data protection law.

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data retention

Contact-form messages are kept as long as needed to respond and maintain reasonable business records. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept briefly by our hosting provider for security purposes.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced on the website.
