Conceptual Landscape

At 5:20 I climbed onto the red horse and raced full-speed. Hahaha!! I almost died laughing… today at the alchemy place there was only one person — a local searching the river for Song-dynasty porcelain shards.

The riverside became my exclusive space again. A red plastic bag drifted across the water — damn, that's the one. The alchemy-object had also changed, only half a mountain remained. Today the water vapor joined the air, the 🐦 birds sang turning marvelous melodies.

The sensual beauty of the membrane — this signals the beginning of thought; a window quietly opens toward other things; new rules of an art game, not aesthetic rules, are silently fermenting a century's storm.

Intervening in nature with the body, refusing the formulas of brush and ink. In the 2014 water-side actions at Jingdezhen — swimming, drifting, writing — the ancient wisdom of 《Chongbantu》's 「water is the base-point of all things」 was transformed into contemporary practice. The reflection in water — 「ohng」 (soul) — became the core image. In June 2014 the artistic alter-ego 「Meng Chunsheng」 was conceived. In 2025 at Zongtong Temple, a 50cm × 50m raw xuan handscroll completed the conceptual closure from action to brushwork. 「Without style becomes style」 — let mountains and waters speak for themselves.
