《In Search of a Soul Mate》 is an interdisciplinary conceptual-art project initiated by the artist Mu Yuming (Lao Mu) on the afternoon of July 20, 2021, at 4:44 PM at Kunming's Changchong Mountain. The project blurs the boundaries between art and life, between psychological need and physiological longing, between private feeling and public action, taking 「seeking」 — humanity's most primordial behavior — as its methodology, to inquire into the soul's mode of existence and the possibility of connection.

This project is not a romantic courtship, but a philosophical experiment about how human beings build a transcendent connection with the 「other」.
